Xenomaze
A downloadable ZX Spectrum game
Xenomaze is inspired by the classic game "3D Monster Maze" and a certain sci-fi movie franchise.
A major difference from the original game is that the monster only moves when you do. You also have a motion scanner to detect where it is relative to you (when in range).
Game
The premise is simple: find the exit and avoid the monster!
Controls
Supported input devices:
- Keyboard: QAOP, WASD and cursor keys
- Joysticks: Kempston, Cursor and Sinclair (port 1)
Pressing Symbol-Shift will exit the game back to the main menu.
Notes
It's designed to run on 48K Spectrums but has AY sound effects if enabled (this is automatic if 128K is detected).
The game is a rough test of some experimental features added to the Wycheweald/Hafoc Tor engine.
Like those games, you can adjust speed settings for overclocked machines.
